Non-Arabic speaking students who wish to study Arabic at Kuwait University enroll in the courses offered by the Arabic Language Unit at the Language Center. These courses are divided into three levels Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced, and covered through three academic semesters, Each academic year consists of two semesters: September- January/ February- June. No summer courses are offered.
The Arabic language programmed is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The courses are designed as support or continuation of the academic curricula given to the students at their home universities. successful candidates will receive certificates of attendance. It is hoped that the period of Language study, which the students spend at the Language Center, will contribute significantly towards the attainment of an academic degree at their home universities. The type of Arabic taught is modern standard Arabic. However, are also exposed to classical Arabic literature.
Scholarships:
Kuwait University offers a limited number of scholarships for whom wish to study Arabic at the Language Center.
