This scheme was introduced to supports students with monthly allowance of RM1300 while enable them to enhance their talents and soft skills by assisting in various activities at their respective faculties/branches/COEs. The appointment is for the current semester basis and interested students need to reapply every semester.
Eligibilities to Apply.
Registered Malaysian students pursuing Master by course work or research mode are eligible to apply.
Academic Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government with the minimum requirement depends on the respective Faculty’s Postgraduate Academic Committee (JAPS).
How to ApplyThe Graduate Service Scheme is open for application every semester which is in March/April or September/October every year.
The applicants will fill in the application form via an online system e-sks. The application will be reviewed and recommended for the scheme by the respective faculties. Some faculties may call the applicant for interview session before making the recommendation. The successful applicants can then print the offer letter from the system.
ExpectationsRecipients of this scheme are assigned to their respective faculties/branches/centres for minimum of 6 hours per week. Assignments may be assisting in teaching, organizing seminars/conference, assisting at the laboratories, special projects and many others.

3,474 Akan Terima Biasiswa "Mybrain15"
KUALA LUMPUR, 9 Ogos -- Sebanyak 3,474 pelajar yang layak telah diluluskan untuk menerima biasiswa bagi pengajian lepasan ijazah pada tahun ini di bawah program "MyBrain15".
Timbalan Menteri Pengajian Tinggi Datuk Dr Hou Kok Chung berkata mereka ialah antara 6,874 pemohon bagi dua skim di bawah MyBrain15, iaitu Program Tajaan bagi ijazah kedoktoran dalam negara (MyPhD) dan Program Tajaan bagi ijazah Sarjana dalam negara (MyMaster).
"Sasaran tahun ini bagi 650 penerima untuk MyPhD telah mendapat sambutan luar jangkaan, dengan kira-kira 1,200 permohonan diterima. Setakat ini, 672 telah diluluskan, lebih tinggi daripada jumlah yang diperuntukkan bagi tahun ini," katanya pada majlis Anugerah Biasiswa Pendidikan Tinggi akhbar The Sun dan Persatuan Kolej-kolej dan Universiti-universiti Swasta Malaysia (MAPCU) di sini hari ini.
Setiap penerima akan menerima maksimum RM24,000 bagi yuran tuisyen tanpa mengira pengajian dilakukan di institusi pengajian tinggi awam atau swasta. Sebanyak RM5,000 lagi diberikan sebagai elaun jurnal dan tesis.
Bagi skim MyMaster, Dr Hou berkata daripada 8,000 biasiswa ditawarkan tahun ini, sebanyak 2,802 diluluskan daripada sejumlah 5,674 permohonan yang diterima, berikutan proses pemilihan lebih ketat.
Dr Hou berkata kerajaan memperuntukkan sebanyak RM2.6 bilion di bawah Rancangan Malaysia Ke-10 (2011-2015) bagi program itu untuk mencapai objektif mengeluarkan 60,000 pemegang PhD menjelang 2020.
"Malaysia memerlukan para intelektual berpengetahuan tinggi untuk memacu pertumbuhan penyelidikan dan inovasi untuk berjaya menjadi sebuah negara berpendapat tinggi yang dipacu inovasi," katanya.
Selain MyMaster dan MyPhD, dua lagi skim di bawah Mybrain15 ialah Program PhD Perindustrian dan Program Latihan Akademik Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam (SLAI).
Pada majlis itu, 41 pelajar menerima biasiswa bernilai RM4.5 juta yang diikrarkan oleh 16 kolej dan universiti swasta.

11 Peratus Pelajar Kelantan Hadapi Masalah Mental : Pakar Psikiatri HUSM
KOTA BAHARU, 9 Ogos -- Antara 10 dan 11 peratus remaja khususnya pelajar di Kelantan menghadapi masalah mental dan menerima rawatan di Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM), Kubang Kerian, di sini.
Ketua Jabatan Psikiatri HUSM Prof Madya Dr Mohd Jamil Yaacob berkata mereka ini, yang termasuk murid sekolah rendah, adalah antara lebih 700 pesakit yang menerima rawatan setiap bulan di klinik psikiatri hospital itu termasuk kes berulang.
"Ini adalah fenomena baru dalam masyarakat kesan tekanan hidup dalam kekeluargaan dan pelajaran di dunia yang semakin mencabar sekarang," katanya kepada Bernama di pejabatnya di sini Selasa yang turut dihadiri Pengarah HUSM Datuk Dr Zaidun Kamari.
Mohd Jamil berkata kebanyakan pelajar yang menghadapi masalah mental itu adalah disebabkan faktor keturunan, masalah keluarga di rumah dan persekitaran sekolah.
Katanya peningkatan jumlah pelajar yang menerima rawatan itu berikutan kesedaran orang ramai terhadap peranan dan tugas yang dimainkan oleh klinik psikiatri dalam menyelesaikan pelajar yang menghadapi masalah itu.
"Sebelum ini, ramai ibu bapa enggan datang ke klinik psikiatri kerana tidak sanggup menerima tanggapan negatif masyarakat yang menganggap mereka datang ke klinik berkenaan sebagai penghidap penyakit jiwa," katanya.
Untuk menghilangkan tanggapan negatif itu juga, Jabatan Psikiatri HUSM mengambil inisiatif menamakan klinik ini sebagai "Klinik Bimbingan dan Remaja" sejak 2002.
Selain itu, katanya, petugas jabatan itu mengadakan lawatan ke sekolah bagi memberi khidmat bimbingan terapi kepada pesakit terbabit.
Zaidun pula berkata tahap penerimaan masyarakat dalam mendapatkan rawatan mental di hospital lebih tinggi berbanding sebelum ini kerana kebanyakan mereka yang terlibat dikategorikan sebagai Orang Kurang Upaya mendapat kemudahan kerajaan, khasnya daripada Jabatan Kebajikan masyarakat.

1. Flight Stewardesses/Stewards
Requirements
- Malaysian citizen
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Females who are at least 1.58m; males who are at least 1.65m in height
Degree/ Diploma OR
- At least 2 principal level passes and 2 subsidiary passes in STPM/GCE ‘A’ level or its equivalent OR
- At least 5 credits in SPM/GCE ‘O’ level and relevant working experience
- For Malaysian qualifications at SPM level, at least 5 credits including a minimum grade of B4 in English and working experience is required.
Training
- Our comprehensive 4 months training program will cover topics such as:
- Product Knowledge including Food & Beverage
- Service Procedures
- Passenger Handling
- Deportment & Grooming
- Language & Communication Skills
- Safety Equipment Procedures
- First Aid
On successful completion of training you will commence flying duties.
Remuneration & Service Benefits:
A monthly allowance will be provided during training. Upon graduation, you can look forward to a basic salary and various allowances amounting to about MYR $9,000 a month. In addition, there is an annual wage supplement of one month’s basic salary and profit-sharing bonus. You will also be entitled to free travel to any SIA destination once a year and enjoy discounted travel at other times.
