R&D PRODUCTS OF UNIVERSITIES IN MALAYSIA 2013

Bahagian Perancangan Kecemerlangan IPT, Jabatan Pendidikan Tinggi telah menerbitkan buku bertajuk "R&D Products of Universities in Malaysia 2013". Tujuan penghasilan buku ini adalah untuk mempromosi dan memperkenalkan produk penyelidikan institusi pengajian tinggi (IPT) tempatan kepada masyarakat dan industri. Buku ini adalah merupakan salah satu medium bagi mempergiatkan lagi aktiviti pengkomersialan hasil penyelidikan IPT tempatan.

For the seventh year of publication, “R&D Products of Universities in Malaysia 2013” continues to offer a platform for the local universities to promote their inventions and products to the industries and the public.

“R&D Products of Universities in Malaysia 2013” is a book documenting and describing innovative products developed by researchers at the Malaysian Public and Private Universities. This book aims to publicize information on the products and discoveries from local universities to developers and industrialists. It is also to enhance the potential for commercialization of the inventions and products developed by the researchers at the universities.

This book is compiled into eight (8) clusters and comprised of 178 products which are 28 commercialized products and 150 products with the potential to be commercialized. The clusters are agriculture (18), chemistry (23), consumer goods (21), education (16), electronics (26), ICT (15), industrial equipment (27) and medical and health (32).

The Department of Higher Education, on behalf of the Ministry of Education would like to congratulate the researchers and express our utmost gratitude and appreciation for the contributions and cooperation rendered towards the completion of the book, especially to the Research Management Centres and researchers of the various Malaysian Public and Private Universities.
